We at Trim Flying Club (TFC) hope that the following information
will help Internet users decide
if they have sufficient Information regarding Flying in our Club.
Q. What Aviation standard does
Trim Flying Club operate to?
A. TFC trains it student pilots in accordance with
ICAO
Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) Rules and Regulations.
Q. Does Trim Flying Club train
pilots for the Commercial Pilots License (CPL)
A. TFC does not train student pilots to Commercial
Pilots License (CPL) level,
it only trains its members to Private Pilots License only.
Q.Does TFC sponsor student pilots
to complete a Private Pilots License?
A. TFC is a privately funded club and does not sponsor
Student Pilots co
complete a Private Pilots License.
Q. TFC has a waiting period
to join the club - is this only for student members or everyone?
A. The waiting list to join TFC is
for both ab initio members and fully qualified PPL's
Q. Why is there such a long
waiting period to join the club as a full member?
A. The current waiting period to join the club as a full member
is anywhere
between 12-15 months at a minimum. This is due to the large number of requests
that TFC receives weekly and weather restrictions during the year etc
Q. I have a Commercial Pilots
License (CPL) and need to build some hours to
renew my ratings, Can I do this at Trim Flying Club?
A. Unfortunately TFC is a private
flying club that gains its members from
a waiting list (12-15 months) followed by election to the club by the committee
members.
TFC does not permit temporary use of club aircraft to non-club members to
renew ratings.
Q. I am working towards a Commercial
Pilots License (CPL) and need to build some hours to
contribute towards my rating, Can I do this at Trim Flying Club?
A. Unfortunately TFC is a private flying club that
gains its members from
a waiting list (12-15 months) followed by election to the club by the committee
members.
TFC does not permit temporary use of club aircraft to non-club members to
contribute towards ratings.
Q. Does TFC permit non-members
to fly club aircraft solo on a temporary basis?
A. TFC requires that all non-members who wish to fly club
aircraft become fully paid
up members before they are allowed to log solo flying time in Cub Aircraft.This
involves
a waiting list (12-15 months) followed by election to the club by the committee
members.
Q. I wish to consider a flight
at Trim Flying Club and was wondering how I go about it?
A. Trial Membership is not available to members of
the public at present, valid from February 2008 until further notice.
Q. I wish to purchase a once
off flying voucher for a friend - is this possible at TFC?
A. Unfortunately a once off Flying Voucher at TFC is not possible
to members of the public at present,
valid from February 2008 until further notice
Q. I wish to purchase a flying
voucher for a friend who is interested in flying and becoming a member
of TFC with a view to obtaining their Private Pilots License (PPL) - is this
possible at TFC?
A. The Club regrets that it is
currently unable to offer Flying Vouchers to members
of the public at present. This is valid from February 2008 until further notice.
